Our Mission
To provide superior home medical services to all people in
this region by providing quality patient care through well-trained
personnel who utilize state-of-the-art equipment, procedures and
education/training. We continually strive for excellence by meeting
or exceeding the needs of our patients, their families and the
communities we serve.

Resp-I-Care is a locally owned durable medical equipment company that originated in 1983. Our service area includes Tennessee and portions of Southwest Virginia. Our organization is in compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Age Discrimination Act of 1975. 2007 HME Excellence Award
Kingsport, Tennessee headquartered Resp-I-Care Home Medical Services was recently awarded first runner up in the 2007 HME Excellence Awards' as "Best of the Bese in respiratory care. The HME Excellence Awards seek to identify the nation's premier providers of home respiratory therapy.
The goal of these awards is to recognize the outstanding achievements of those caregivers who, among over 22,000 US providers, excel in an industry full of difficult challenges.
This prestigious award has now been awarded three times to Resp-I-Care, and they are the sole nominee and award winner from the state of Tennessee.
Dick Clark, President and CEO of Resp-I-Care accepted the award, along with several staff members in attendance, during the annual "Med Trade" conference in Orlando.
"We are pleased to be considered for the top honors, and on behalf of all of our fine and caring professionals, are proud to receive the award for the 3rd time. This award confirms that Resp-I-Care is achieving their mission of successfully providing the highest levels of Respiratory care to our patients. Our people are dedicated to our patients and do whatever needs to be done to make sure they are taken care of. Our referral sources know that when they refer to us, we are totally committed."
